Ths SEAL Project
This year the school has started work on a national project about the 'Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning'. This project (SEAL for short) supports work in developing childrens personal awareness and social skills. Throughout the year there are seven themes (New beginnings, Getting on and falling out etc) which the children work on in school.
The purpose of this work is to remove children's barriers to learning and help them to develop into confident learners and fully involved members of the community. This work supports our aims and values here at Marpool. The photos above show open sessions where many parents and grandparents joined the year 1/2 classes in school to take part in a SEAL session.
