We left Marpool school on 2nd Novembeer 2008. We have moved to a house 15 minutes from Sydney called Maroubra in Australia. We are starting our new school on 29th January and are very excited. The weatehr is very warm and we have been enjoying playing in the surf at the beach and visiting lots of places.

We miss you all very much and hope to one day come back to visit everybody. We would like to keep in touch with you all so please email us. Y

I attended marpool from 1992 to 1997 when I was in year 4, at which point I moved to Canada. I was happy to be able to remember my past by looking at the present. I was however desappionted to see that the only teachers names I recognized were Ms. Worth, Ms. Gingell, Ms. Howard and Mr Howard. I will never forget Ms. Worth and how in year 4 I asked and even begged to have a guitar lesson at the school as part of music. When she was finally able to get a teacher only three people ended up signing up (all named Jon), and I missed or was late for almost every lesson. I ended up quiting because I was so bad, but I did take my lessons home with me and funnily my brother ended up teaching himself to play and is now very talented. If Ms. Worth does read this then I would like to apologize for the trouble I put her through, but at least some good came out of it. If anyone reads this and recognizes my name I encourage them to contact me. My name is Jon Kennard and I lived at 5 Denmark Road. in year 3 (95/96) I was in Ms. Turnbulls class with people such as Matt, Donovan and Joanne Rodwell? year 4 is really a blur for me but I had Ms. Worth.

i found this site on a news letter home. I thought I would pass on the comment that it was a great school for me and now my son loves the school too. We have all done really well and its down to the teachers and the way the teaching is put over - just a shame my freinds children aren't doing so well at another school that only has one year in a class. It just shows that spilting the children up into mixed classes works. Well done mr howard and all the staff, keep the good work up

I would like you to meet my mini-beasts in my poem: The Tragedy at Mini-Beastie Park: www.whiteheadm.co.uk - 100 CHILDREN'S POEMS - Then look under "insects". Hi, I just happened to stumble on this website by accident but it's brought back many wicked memories of my time there, like my first ever valentines card was to miss kelly and didnt know i wasnt meant to put my in!! Very embarassing! And Molly the lollypop lady who always found my coat whenever I lost it! I went to exeter college after ECC an now I'm up in Lincoln doing chrisitan youth & schools work for my 3rd year and in sept I'm off to salford uni in manchester to do Media and Performance, and it all started because of the drama club in Marpool! I remember all my teachers so well, Mrs Foote, Miss Kelly, Mrs Gingell, Mrs Worth, Mr Bowker and Mrs Howard and used to mess about in the playground with Ian Adamson, Liam Martin and Alex Kennard. Good old memories. Keep up the good work I know you're settin up the kids of today for a good future. I'd love to come back and visit sometime. Godbless Si

Either going to Southampton or Cardiff University in September. Anyway I hope you are all doing well and still enjoying yourselves. Perhaps i'll see you soon! I left Marpool School (to go to the big one down the road) in 1969, and have memories of some good times there, such asliver and bacon and having to stand still at the end of playtime!. Just wondered if there are any ex pupils who left at the same time who may remember those days.

I am from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. I was referred to your web site by a friend. What a spectacular web page! I thoroughly enjoyed going over the various sections and reading about students and activities, etc., at your school. Keep up the good work.
